This annual fundraising effort supports all of the wonderful programs provided to our students, including cultural art events, Odyssey of the Mind, JAG Publishing, Study Buddies, the Joyner Jamboree, Night of Nonsense and Science-Go-Round.
PTA state and national dues are $5/individual and $10/family membership — both your dues and your donation are 100% tax deductible. Click this link to join and donate online.
The No Fuss Fundraiser allows the PTA to retain 100% of the money raised beyond the $5 dues to support all of the PTA programs for your children. Please consider asking your employer if there is a matching donation program where you work. And don’t forget to ask grandparents — they will be THRILLED not to have to buy wrapping paper!

Four major misconceptions about PTA membership often prevent parents from joining an association that helps our children:
Myth #1: “Only moms and teachers need to join PTA.”
A strong, vibrant PTA needs the support of moms and dads, step-parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles, teachers and school staff, community members, and business leaders. Anyone who cares about children belongs in PTA. It is important that we all have a voice in the decision-making process that affects children.
Myth #2: “Joining PTA means I have to volunteer.”
You do not have to volunteer to be a member of PTA! PTA appreciates everyone’s membership, whether or not a member volunteers, because each member increases PTA’s ability to advocate for children.
Myth #3: “PTA membership never expires – I only have to join once.”
Each new school year begins a new PTA membership year. Membership cards are issued to each member who joins PTA as soon as dues are paid. Membership cards are for an annual membership and will remain valid until the end of the school year.
Myth #4: “I don’t have the time to join PTA.”
We understand your time is valuable. However, it’s your interest in children that counts. If you are not able to support the PTA with time, please become a member and give your financial support so that the children know that you support our efforts. You will have the satisfaction of knowing that your support helps as we develop programs and activities that benefit not only your children, but all children.
